RM of Martin’s story
The Rural Municipality of Martin No. 122 became an incorporated rural municipality on January 1, 1913. It lies in southeastern Saskatchewan, about 200 kilometres east of Regina, and the Trans-Canada Highway runs right through it.
The town of Wapella sits within the RM's boundaries, and the municipality also surrounds the Ochapowace 71-26 First Nations reserve. Today the RM is run by an elected council and an appointed administrator, who meet on the second Wednesday of each month. The RM office is in Moosomin.
